First of all, here is my list of the budget color ebook reader that I think it comes with acceptable brand and quality : Slick ER-700, Ematic color ereader (EB101B), Velocity Micro Cruz Reader, The Sharper Image Literati Wireless Reader and 7 inch SKYTEX Primer. The Sharper Image Literati Wireless Reader is one of the cheapest with a quite unique design and distinguished screen ratio. There are two models available for  The Sharper Image Literati. One is the white one with no Wi-Fi feature but better design quality. And another one is Wi-Fi supported but quite an old design and also with a cheaper price (around 65 USD).

Velocity Micro Cruz Reader, unlike any other color ebook reader, Velocity Micro Cruz Reader comes in the form of tablet. Actually it is Android 2.2 tablet that advertised as color ebook reader. The good thing about using tablet as the ebook reader are 1. touchscreen – even it comes with no multitouch supported but I have to admitted that reading by touchscreen using is one of the advantage point for note taking and on-screen dictionary. And 2. It backlit allowed night reading without turn on your light which I think it’s very useful. And don’t forget about another add on like music player, movie player and web surfing. With the price of only 100 USD, I Think it is one of the best deal.

Ematic color ereader (EB101B) and SKYTEX Primer : These two are quite pretty the same in term of design and appearance. But customer seems to satisfied with Ematic color ereader than Primer but also you have to pay more around 10 USD expensive to get Ematic.

My final verdict : If possible get the Velocity Micro Cruz Reader ! It’s one of the best valued !
