Popular low price of Velocity Micro Cruz Reader and SKYTEX Primer eReader, Which one suits your style.
I saw some people using Velocity Micro Cruz and I asked why. They said that they like something that can do both reader and media play and they are looking for a cheap price for eReader and not necessary a productive functional device like iPad or Motorola Xoom. For me, The Velocity Micro Cruz is not that bad. It can so basic functions as other tablet with the same range does. Let’s alone iPads or Samsung. It comes with a great OS, Android 2.0 and based one Borders eBook library portal application including its own Cruz Market. Yes. It has ability to watch movies, play games, browsing web page, viewing eBooks, and eMagazines. Expanding memory with SD Card, the Velocity Micro Cruz has pre-installed 4 GB SD card. The 4:3, 800 x 600 full-color touchscreen display offers up to 10+ hours for a single charge. It is really not bad.
Now during Black Friday 2011 period, The Velocity Micro Cruz sells at $78.98. That is 64% off from the original price at $219.99. Wow that is really a great deal only at Amazon. (limited time).
To compare with a similar model , SKYTEX Primer 7: colour E-reader, its specification is almost the same as The Velocity Micro Cruz. The the proportion of the tablets are different. It depends on what you like, a square or a rectangular. But for me it seems that the SKYTEX Primer 7 looks more a pocket-look. But Velocity Micro Cruz has better in display screen resolution at 7″ TFT 800 x 600 over LDC display 800×480 resolution of SKYTEX Primer 7. SKYTEX Primer 7 can support for Adobe DRM protected ePub and PDF. Sadly, although it can be used as a media player but it is controlled by buttons not touch screen like Velocity Micro Cruz. This is a really another big difference.
Verdict : I definitely go for Velocity Micro Cruz with touch screen and better resolution.
