Kindle Fire vs Coby Kyros MID9742-8, which tablet under $200 to buy ?

At the same price range, which one is the best choice for a tablet under $200 to buy ?, Kindle Fire vs Coby Kyros MID9742-8. Both have differences strong points, while with Kindle Fire, what you’ll get is a portable tablet with a wide 16:9 screen ratio that is perfect for movie watching and ebook reading, and with the size of 7-inch and light weight, you can bring this tablet with you everywhere with around 7 – 8 hours of battery life that is enough for daily use and don’t forget that Kindle Fire comes with a great support from Amazon, you can store all of your digital purchase with Amazon Cloud service for free and also you can enjoy a super fast web browser service “Silk” that use Cloud computing technology. But in contrast, the downside for Kindle Fire is its hardware specification, you cannot use this for photography and video shooting and also video call since it comes with none !, and also Kindle Fire comes with no Bluetooth and also no 3G or 4G only wifi is available and no SD card slot.

In contrast, with the same price range (cheaper than Kindle Fire), Coby Kyros MID9742-8 offers a lot more in term of hardware specification, it comes with a letterbox 4:3 capacitive touch screen (the same type of iPad’s touchscreen technology), with front and rear camera for video call (VGA) and sharing (2 MPS) and also mini HDMI, built-in 8 GB storage space with up to 32 GB via SD Card slot with a bigger screen 9.7-inch, and USB port that you can connect to keyboard dock and its peripherals. And don’t forget the latest Android 4.0 OS that works very fast and very easy to use.

So, if you ask me, in term of specification, Coby Kyros MID9742-8 is definitely a great choice, perhaps a better choice that Kindle Fire ( you can also use Amazon service on this tablet as well for song, movie and ebook buying). The only downside of Coby Kyros MID9742-8 is, it is not designed for portable, if you decided to go with this tablet, it means that you will use this tablet at your home most of the time with sometime portable. So Kindle Fire vs Coby Kyros MID9742-8, which tablet under $200 to buy ? Definitely Coby Kyros MID9742-8 !

Nexus 7 vs Kindle Fire which one to buy ?

With the price of $200, this is the sound of drum from Asus and Google to Amazon. Finally Google released their acclaimed 7-inch Android tablet Nexus 7, the question is, if you are looking for a tablet around $200, should you buy a new comer Nexus 7  or should you buy a popular Kindle Fire ? In term of specification, Nexus 7  comes with HD screen 720P (Fire is less) and a front camera for video chat. You may use this to take a photo of yourself or your daily activity but it won’t as good as a dual-camera tablet, but in contrast Kindle Fire offers none on camera.

Click here for the full detail specification of a brand new and used Kindle Fire, starts from 170 USD (limited time) @ Amazon.com

While Kindle Fire runs on its unique OS that adapted from Android 2.3 OS, Nexus 7 runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the one that google has been developing. In term of functionality, the HD screen is very easy on your eyes, you don’t need to zoom in as many times as you use Kindle Fire since the screen is crisper. The only feature that I believe Kindle Fire is still a better choice is its Amazon support, because Fire is a tablet that design to be an Amazon digital media consumption tablet, so it is easy to buy to store songs, movies, apps, that is a strong suit of Amazon, but with Nexus 7 you may  need to have a little bit of technology knowledge to install app from Google app market and find the right apps. Think carefully.

IPad 2 or ASUS Transformer TF300 ?

Both come with the same price range, and both come with the super long battery life, the question is if you are looking for a big screen tablet for a home-based use, which one is the choice ? IPad 2 or ASUS Transformer TF300, if you are already an Apple fan, I think you’ll definitely go with an IPad with no need to ask,

but if you are a Windows user who is looking for a first tablet, you may need to think carefully because this could change your gadget buying habit forever ! In my opinion, if you don’t interested in iCloud concept that all of your computers, phones and tablets stay in sync, I think you won’t mind to buy your tablet as an Android OS, while you use computer with iOS or Windows 7 or 8. But if you are looking for a new world of technology, I think iCloud is definitely an answer.

But in contrast, if functionality is what you are looking for, ASUS Transformer TF300  can offer you more than an IPad 2, you can use it as your Netbook, and with its keyboard, it will boost up ASUS Transformer TF300′s battery life to 15 hours ! And also it comes with an Android OS 4.0, the latest and an acclaimed Android OS, I am quite sure that this tablet will give you one of the best tablet experience. If you are looking for a cheap IPad 2 or  ASUS Transformer TF300, both of them also available in refurbished as well, they will save you some money for buying them.

Blackberry Playbook vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, which one to buy ?

With around 50 USD difference, which one to go, BB Playbook that is priced under 200 USD or Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 that is around 249 USD ? I have to say, if you want to go with the Blackberry Playbook, it means that you don’t looking for a new technology.

Click here for the full detail specification and the limited time 60% off discount price of a brand new Blackberry Playbook  and refurbished @ Amazon.com

BlackBerry PlayBook

and what you are looking for is a tablet that could be use for email, web browsing, ebook reader, and a little bit of app installing (you have to buy apps from Blackberry App World that I think it won’t as various as Android Market or Amazon App Store), and it will not be an update available in a future because RIM is not in a good shape at the moment, and hardware specification is what you are aim for (Bluetooth and camera), I think if that’s the case you should go with a refurbished Playbook, because with this price, it is a big gap between Blackberry Playbook and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7-Inch, Wi-Fi)

But if you are looking for a tablet that you will be able to use and upgrade for a few more year, I think you may want to buy a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 due to the fact that it comes with more powerful hardware specification and also it runs the latest OS Android 4.0 (BB Playbook runs its unique OS).

Refurbished Blackberry Playbook vs Certified refurbished Kindle Fire, which one to buy ?

Due to its price drop, a refurbished BB Playbook is only 149 at the moment (where you can buy a new one from 197 USD), while the popular certified Kindle Fire is 139 USD, the question is which one to buy ?

Click here for the full detail specification and the limited time 60% off discount price of a brand new Blackberry Playbook  and refurbished @ Amazon.com

BlackBerry PlayBook

In term of price there is a 10 USD difference between this two tablets but Blackberry Playbook offers an outstanding hardware specification but you have to trade with a limited app store, you have to use BB app world to buy app, at the moment there are many Android apps available but I think it still cannot beat a very popular app store like Amazon or Android Market, so you have to choose which way to go more apps less spec like a certified Kindle Fire or a better specification with limited apps like Playbook.

Click here for the full detail of 169 USD Refurbished Kindle fire @ Amazon’s official page

Ironically, even you can access many Amazon’s Android apps from refurbished Fire, it comes with a limited hardware specification that may effect the way you’ll buy apps, you may find that many apps cannot be used on Fire since it is under hardware specification. Choose wisely !

7-inch iRulu works fine with Android Market !

One thing that is a problem for budget tablets are some of them are not compatible with Android Market, so you have to use them with Amazon market or some of them cannot be used with Amazon app store at all.

Click here for the full detail specification and the limited time 30% off discount price of  7 -inch iRulu @ Amazon.com

But among cheap tablets, 7 inch iRulu works fine with Android market app store, this online app store allows you to download tons of free application and essentials like Netflix if you love to watch a streaming movie or ebook reader like Aikido ebook reader app if you love to read. So, besides of its great hardware specification and latest OS, I think Android market compatibility is also an another strong point of 7 inch iRulu that can be called Kindle Fire killer !

Android 4.0 on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 review

Android 4.0 Ice-cream Sandwich works great on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, it comes with a concept of Dock that you put everything that modified down at the bottom of the screen, that you also see the navigation on the back home with the multitasking button that allow you to access many features on this tablet,

Click here for the full detail of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 @ Amazon.com, starts from 225 USD (limited time)

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7-Inch, Wi-Fi)

But for the down size, I think  that 7 inch screen, in my opinion, don’t really get Ice-cream Sandwich enough room to work, the settings box (or any floating apps) takes up quite a space of the most one – third of the screen. I don’t have huge hands but my fingers are cover up about two of those icons, instead of just one which is not great !  so I can get a little bit difficult to navigate, but that is the only downside, so if you don’t mind smaller Tablet, this one would be good for you but if you’re on the fence, I think try it out before you buy.
